I realized the inadequacies, the time-consuming steps, losing nearly half a lifetime just to acquire basic knowledge and experience. At the same time, I was concerned about the challenges of the working environment in the industry with the negative thinking and mindset of fisheries staff. I decided to change direction, stop working, and take a 2-year hiatus to consolidate all knowledge, experience, and insights... packaging them into materials and lectures to realize the mission of passing them on to the younger generation of engineers and managers... so they can be strong pillars of the industry without having to spend as long as the 25 years I went through.
